North Carolina Nursing Home Negligence and Abuse Attorney
When elderly nursing home residents are victim to abuse and neglect while under the care of a health care facility, clearly someone is in the wrong. All too often elderly patients experience various forms of abuse, and the medical facility gets away with it.

Our Approach
We take the following approach when dealing with nursing home negligence and abuse cases:
- Medical records are gathered (including those from the nursing home and emergency room).
- All records are read to assess exactly what happened, even if the information is not specifically stated.
- Records are sent to a nursing expert, geriatric physician and nutritionist for expert review. If they determine that abuse or neglect has occurred, we move forward.
- An investigator is sent out to speak with the family and witnesses.
It is not uncommon for these types of cases to last from one or two years. If litigation is pursued, deposition statements from nursing home directors, nurses and/or CNAs are required.
